We are accountable for the information in our custody. Therefore, when we collect or use your information, we will utilize commercially reasonable safeguards to ensure its protection. Should any breach of your Personal Information occur, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible, as required by applicable law.

2. Type and Purpose of Collection
We collect information at various points in the Website to facilitate its use by our customers. Specifically, two types of information are collected:

    5. Newsletter
    Our newsletter informs our customers about newly achieved titles of publishers around the globe. We use MailChimp as our platform for sending newsletters. Your data (name & e-mail address) will be stored on servers in a third country (USA) for the purpose of sending newsletters. The transmission of your data is protected by the Privacy Shield. This is an agreement between the EU and the US on the adequacy of the level of data protection for those companies that meet the requirements of Privacy Shield ( We have made a contract with MailChimp for commissioned data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of EU data protection authorithies.

    The Website contains links and references to other websites. We are not responsible for the collection, use and disclosure of information, or the privacy practices of such websites.

    7. Applicant Data Protection
    As a small company with no foreseeable application procedures initiated by us, we ask you to refrain from submitting applications. We assure you that in the event of unsolicited applications we will in no way electronically store or process the documents or the data resulting therefrom. They will immediatly be destroyed. Until destruction, the documents are kept under lock and key, whereby only the personnel management (Anja-Alexandra Pfister) and the managing director (Dr. Klaus Höhne) have access.
    Note: If announcements for individual positions become necessary in the future, the obligations of Art. 12 ff of the GDPR apply to us and will be specified in detail and in a generally understandable manner in the respective vacancy and again at the latest at the beginning of the data collection of possible applicants.

    8. SSL
    This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as a site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
    If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

    9. Google Analytics
    This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

    IP Anonymization
    We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This will cause your IP address to be cut by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
